The Contribution of Leader Social and Emotional Skills to Leadership Effectiveness During Strategic Organizational Change

Results from a study of 108 leaders and 325 followers in many organizations suggest that overall social/emotional skills are related to leadership effectiveness, and that social control and emotional expressivity skills are particularly important for leaders implementing strategic organizational change.

Women’s Participation in Society in Iran

One criterion of Iran's level of development is the status of women in society. This paper focuses on Iranian women's leadership in society after the Revolution, and briefly explains the Gender Empowerment Measure, which refers to women's access to power. The paper concludes with some practical proposals and suggestions for action to increase women's participation and access to power in Iran. [ more ]
